Note from Natalie:

Choose your adventure. I’m going to keep today’s challenge a secret for now. I promise it will be fun, adventurous, and you will absolutely love it. But you will have to join the challenge and wait to find out what it is.

Day 8 Challenge:

Like I said, today is a fun day. So I want you to go out and do something that you’ve wanted to do for a long time. Go out play, enjoy, and come back and write about what you did. Also, write about how you can make such adventures part of your new lifestyle.

Choose My adventure

But what I really live for is helping people create a business that lets them truly live their ideal lifestyle and chase all the adventure and freedom they could ever want. Natalie Sisson

Today was a “No Work Zone”

Even though I was a little under the weather I still managed to make an adventure out of it. I spent most of the day in bed with my favorite books. One of my favorite books is The Seven Spiritual Laws of Superheroes by Deepak Chopra. I indulged in a few of my favorite things, foods, drinks and snacks.  I watched two throwback movies, ZooKeeper and Mall Cop. Kevin James is just hilarious. I absolutely love his movies. I got caught up on a couple of episodes of Young and the Restless my all time favorite soap opera. You have to love Genoa City. I spent some time pinning on Pinterest. So very addictive. But very fun!!!! For dinner I ordered in from my favorite local Thai place. It was delicious as always. That pretty much was my adventurous day. It was simple and amazing all rolled into one. The main thing is I took a pause from working. I really needed this today.

I Share all that to say…

Making time for fun and adventure is an important part of living the freedom lifestyle. These are not rewards for your hard work. But rather they are part of the process. To many times we put off fun and adventure. We make excuses. We don’t have the time. There is so many things I have to do. We work ourselves till we are exhausted. I will admit I am guilty of doing these very things. I always tell myself “I will have fun and adventure when I finish this one thing.” This one thing turns into a mountain of things and I never end up taking the fun break or going on that mini adventure. That is going to change.

Creating Fun and Adventure in the day-to-day

I realize that it is necessary to take breaks from my work. It is important to give my brain a break to recharge. Creating fun and adventure in your day-to-day routine does not have to be any thing big and fancy. It is simply taking a moment out of your day here and there to focus on the things that you love and that make you happy. This is something I am definitely going to make a better effort at doing not just on special days but everyday!

My Action Plan from Today’s Challenge

I plan to schedule more regular adventures on my way to my freedom lifestyle. Today’s challenge really hit home for me. I do not do this often enough. It is always go go go…and keep going. What a powerful reminder of the importance of slowing down and enjoying the journey and not just racing to the destination.

Tomorrow the Fun and Adventure Continues…

Tomorrow I will be spending the day with my parents and family. The drive up to my parents place is so beautiful. I love this time of the year as the leaves get ready to change. I am really looking forward to family dinner. As a kid I use to love Sundays. We would eat both breakfast and dinner at the table as a family. Mom would always cook our favorite foods on Sundays.

Thank you Natalie Sisson!

Thank you Natalie for today’s challenge. Such a great reminder of the importance of creating more fun and adventure in my life. Something I am definitely guilty of not doing. But will do more of moving forward. This was great!

Well you can do this too. You just have to choose to want a life where freedom and adventure are the most important things to you. Natalie Sisson
