Celebrating the Journey

Congratulations Lindy!!! You completed 10 of the Blog Challenge. Give yourself a pat on the back for turning up every day, for developing a consistent blogging habit, for thinking, pondering every challenge, for creating your answers. Well done!

15177 words later, 10 social media shares, 10 trackbacks, 10 comments and  most importantly 10 published blog posts. Let me take that in for a moment. Wow what an amazing achievement!!!! The last 10 days has been nothing short of inspiring and just amazing!!!

What I enjoyed most

There was nothing that I did not enjoy about the challenge. Each day I looked forward to the 4 am email with the details for the day’s challenge. Honestly, each day was an adventure of it’s own. I really enjoyed thinking about and pondering every aspect and detail of the day’s challenge. I was always amazed by my answers. At the end of each day I had this awesome feeling after I published the each post.

I nearly quit half way

True Confession: I nearly dropped out from the challenge at day 6. Yes. I just got so overwhelmed and started to question whether I could do it or not. I was tired. I had a long day at work. I was feeling  like I just did not have it in me. The first five days I was on fire. Then somewhere between celebrating the half way mark I just lost my steam.  The big lesson I learned from this was that there will be days when you want to give up or you get overwhelmed but going back to why you are doing what you are doing. Reminding myself of my why was what gave me the push to keep going.

My Favorite Challenge Day [The Power of My Why]

My favorite challenge day was Day 2. Going back to my why is what stopped me from throwing in the towel on the Blog Challenge at Day 6. If it weren’t for MY WHY I may not have finished the challenge.  This is what helped me to push forward and keep going. The power of my why made all the difference. If you have not yet discovered your why I strongly encourage you to tap into your why. It is your most powerful superpower! There is nothing stronger that your why. Your why is what allows you to be “faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound!”

My Freedom Plan Blueprint

Yesterday’s challenge really helped me to start mapping out my own Freedom Plan Blueprint. It gave me the opportunity to really sit and think about what is it that I need to have in place to in order to really live the freedom lifestyle. I have such a better sense of what I have to do now to make this happen. honestly the last 1o days has been life-altering and inspiring. I believe to truly live the freedom lifestyle you absolutely must have a very detailed plan…a road map on how to get there. I learned that I am the key to living my Ideal Freedom Lifestyle. This challenge was the spark I needed.

The Top 10 Lessons Learned from the Challenge

What I have learned from the Challenge? There have been so many lessons, ideas, and aha moments over the last ten days. Where do I begin? The week in review. Here are my top 10 lessons from the challenge.

Day 1 – Finding your focus:

Where you put your focus expands. It is so important to mind your focus and to focus on the right things.

Day 2 – Discovering your WHY

Knowing your why helps you to focus on the right things.

Day 3 – Creating a vision for the future

Having a vision for the future helps you to see your end game and bring it into focus.

Day 4 – Unlocking your superpowers

We all have superpowers. The key is to tap into them and use them to bring us closer to our goals.

Day 5 – Setting yourself up for success

Success is not an accident. It does not just happen.  It requires work. The key is do the things that give you the best chance of succeeding.

Day 6 – Finding your tribe

We do not do this alone. The key is to surround your self with like-minded people who are doing exactly what you want to do.

Day 7 – Beating procrastination and overwhelm

When you are feeling overwhelmed or procrastination is winning go back to your why. Your why holds the key to your dreams. It is also your secret weapon against procrastination and overwhelm.

Day 8 – Choose your adventure

It is so important to have fun and create your own adventures every day. It is all part of the process. Having fun and going on adventures should not be an after thought. It should be something you include in every day.

Day 9 – Location independence

When you are 100% location independent you can truly create the life of your dreams and do the things that matter the most to you. You can do the things that make you happy. Location independence allows you to “Live every day amazing”.

Day 10 – Celebrating Freedom!

It is so important to celebrate the big and small wins along the way. Every day that you get closer to living your freedom lifestyle is something to celebrate,

My biggest Takeaway from the Challenge

Yes it is true that you can be your own worst enemy or your worst critic. But it is equally true that you can be all that you want to be. You can have the life of your dreams. You can live the a life of freedom and  do the things that you want to do. You can truly live a life that matters and make a difference in world one blog post at a time. This blog challenge has shown me that my actions do not need to be perfect. But I just need to take action. I can always go back and add, tweak and make changes. The key is to put it out there.

My new mantra

My new mantra is “there is perfection in taking massive imperfect action.”  It is only in taking massive imperfect action that I will get closer to my dream life and my freedom lifestyle. So if everyday I can take just one imperfect action I will see progress. This is truly life changing. Wow! I am in awe at how powerful and life-affirming this 10 Day Blog Challenge has been. I am most proud of the fact that I showed up for myself each and every day.

Recap of the last 10 Days

I found out what was stealing my focus. I dug deeper into my why. My future vision took me to Bali. I unlocked my superpowers and discovered some I didn’t even knew I had. I created a daily success plan. I NEARLY QUIT THE CHALLENGE. I found my tribe. I discovered my secret weapon against procrastination and overwhelm. I went on a mini adventure in my local area. I had the perfect day in the Cayman Islands. Today I am celebrating freedom. I completed the 10 day blog challenge. Thank you Natalie Sisson!

Wrap Party [aka Next Steps]

The 10 Day Blog Challenge may be officially over. I am just getting started. My own challenge is just beginning. My plan moving forward is to continue to blog every day as if the challenge never ended. I will be doing my own 30 Blog Challenge starting September 21 – October 21, 2016. 1. Enjoyed your post and resonated with what you have expressed as I found the same during the challenge. One thing I have experienced in developing a freedom lifestyle is that my biggest leaps forward were rarely planned.

    • Hi Gavin, Thank you for your comment. I could not agree with you more. Even though we like to plan. I don’t think you can every plan enough. There comes a point where you just have to go for it and Jump.
